Psychotherapy
Life is a journey.
The road offers many opportunities to enrich our lives but not without some bumps along the way!
Our upbringing is an important part of who we become as adults living in a diverse world. We all have different experiences and we are presented with many challenges as part of our learning and growth. Every client, individual, couple, or family has their unique set of life experiences to which we adapt. We may find ourselves caught in a repetitive cycle that negatively impacts our interactions resulting in stress, depression, anxiety, anger and low self-esteem to name a few. Left unattended, it can lead to further problems, including addictions as well as both physical and mental illnesses.
Following the pandemic, the pace and how we live life has changed and therapy offers the ground from which to gain a new perspective.
The goal of therapy is to provide a safe, non-judgemental environment for self-exploration and developing conscious awareness to make effective choices for desired change. We can only change what we are aware of it. There are many psychodynamic options that can be integrated into the therapeutic process such as client-centred talk therapy, cognitive work, mindfulness, somatic experiencing, bioenergetic exercises, energy healing, dreamwork, regressions, meditations and various forms of creative expression. The therapeutic process for each client is discussed and customized to best meet the needs and intended goals of the individual. Together we can decide what methods feel safe and most comfortable.
Most clients enjoy the therapeutic journey as a shift in consciousness, gaining new insights and expanding the capacity for empowerment, joy and balance.
