Psychotherapy

Life is a journey and the road is long.
Our upbringing is an important part of who we become as adults living in a diverse world. We all have different experiences and we are presented with many challenges. We all try to do the best we can, given our circumstances.
Sometimes life becomes overwhelming and we need to reach out and ask for help.
Every client, individual, couple, or family has their unique set of circumstances that brings them to therapy. Usually, they experience a difficulty or form of dysfunction that has a negative impact on their lives. Depression, stress, anxiety, anger, hurtful and abusive behaviours are common struggles. Left unattended, it can lead to further problems, including addictions as well as both physical and mental illnesses.
The goal of therapy is to provide a safe, non-judgemental environment for self-exploration and gaining conscious awareness thereby setting the platform for effective change. We can only change something once we are aware of it. There are many psychodynamic options that can be integrated into the therapeutic process such as client-centred talk therapy, bioenergetic exercises, cognitive work, energy healing, dreamwork, regressions, meditations and creative expression. The therapeutic process for each client is discussed and customized to best meet the needs and intended goals of the individual. Together with the client, it will be decided what methods the client is most comfortable with and set the parameters from which the work will be done.
Most clients enjoy the therapeutic journey as a shift in consciousness, gaining new insights and taking control of one's life. This translates into feelings of joy, compassion, love, peace, harmony and a healthy balance.
