What is Client-Centred Psychotherapy?
Client-centred therapy provides a safe and non-judgmental environment where you will be warmly received, heard and respected as an individual in a therapeutic relationship with the therapist.
You will be able to bring and express your experiences, your thoughts and feelings to each session. The therapist will be a reflective guide as you explore your inner truth and state of being.
The therapeutic goal is to strive toward personal inner growth through increased self-awareness and understanding of behavioral patterns and feelings in relationship to self and others.
"It is that the individual has within himself or herself vast resources for self-understanding, for altering his or her self-concept, attitudes and self-directed behavior - and that these resources can be tapped if only a definable climate of facilitative psychological attitudes can be provided."
- Carl Rogers on the Development of the Person-Centered Approach, 1986 -
